The works of Felix Friedmann often appear to be closer to painting than clear photography. The scene selection remains strongly inspired by all things ordinary. He shows recurring moments – moments which are similar in nature but which nevertheless differ from one another thanks to their unique atmosphere. The observer soon feels familiar with the image, but notes that the image has never been the way it is in their presence. These may well be the very things that Felix Friedmann aims to capture in his images – things which are easy to overlook in everyday life given their volatility and simplicity but which come to the fore in his artistic representation.
